Have these three texts read by the opening of school. I think you will enjoy them. I am not requiring a written assignment, but you will be tested on them the first week of the semester, so I strongly recommend that you annotate as you read or take notes on plot, setting, characters, conflicts, themes, significant quotes, etc. and anything you see as important in the texts. Please do your own thinking and avoid relying on outside sources such as Spark Notes, Cliff Notes, etc.. Have confidence iin YOUR insights and ideas, and bring them with you to class in August.
