These pages contain multi-media projects that we developed over the course of a semester in our Advanced Placement Literature class at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. Working in teams and armed with video cameras and digital audio recorders, we investigated various historical sites and events in our community, Cobb County, Georgia. Since community-based research is authentic research, we went beyond library and Internet research, seeking interviews and recording oral histories from people who were directly connected with the places and events we researched. The project required that we present our findings in a multi-media format, but whether we developed web sites or created documentaries was left up to us. We hope you find our projects both informative and entertaining, and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
